West High Area Collaborative provides aid to MMSD families

Since COVID hit, MMSD social workers (including Hamilton’s social worker, Kristin Ensminger), westside PTOs, and parents have banded together to create an ongoing mutual aid organization called the Madison West High Area Collaborative (or Westside Collaborative). They continue to help families affected by COVID-19 by assisting with rent, bills, and groceries. Thanks to the generous donations sent to this VHMS PTO, we have been able to donate over $25,000 to help families keep going during this crisis. The needs continue. The Westside Collaborative has recently gotten some press in local news. Check it out here:

If you are able, please consider donating funds to keep the aid going to families who need it right now due to COVID-related job losses and illness.

If you or someone you know is in need for assistance please email, call or text VHMS social worker and West Area High Collaborative member Kristin Ensminger at 608-561-2883.
